Projects involving statistical and economic analysis:

  • Toronto Labour Force Readiness Study

For this project, GGI analysed labour force supply and demand in Toronto, with projections for the next ten years. GGI also identified gaps and developed an action plan to ensure that labour market supply matches current and future demand.

  • Worker Survey in PEI

The objective of the study was to gather and analyze employment data from a representative sample of PEI's labour force (sample size of 4000 respondents), with a special focus on seasonal unemployment. The purpose of the study was to describe the characteristics of PEI's labour force to inform any future policy and program development related to unemployment and, in particular, seasonal unemployment.

  • Employment Benefits and Support Measures Medium-Term Impact Study

GGI was part of an international team of researchers examining methods of estimating the medium-term impacts of EBSMS. The project involved specifying sampling strategies and developing models to measure gross and incremental employment impacts using only administrative data.

  • Summative Evaluation of the Opportunities Fund

GGI was contracted to act as an advisor on sampling, multivariate analysis and interpretation of findings for the Summative Evaluation of the Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities, which involved a survey of participants and non-participants.

  • Health Survey of Gulf War Veterans
